YouTube’s Dark Mode feature has finally been added to the YouTube app for Android. Via this tutorial, you will learn how to enable the Dark Theme on the YouTube app for Android devices.
In order to access the Dark Mode feature, you’ll need to have updated the YouTube app on your Android to the newest version. Open the Google Play Store and search for YouTube. If you see an “Update” button, tap it to update the app. To make sure you have the newest version, scroll down and tap “Read More.” Then scroll to the bottom to see the version number. The version of the app you need is 13.35.51 (or newer.)
Once you’ve updated to the newest version, open the YouTube app. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner. Then select Settings. Tap General. Near the top of your screen, you’ll see the Dark Mode option. Tap the switch beside Dark Mode to activate the feature. Once it’s enabled, you’ll see YouTube’s background change from white to black. You can then enjoy YouTube as you normally would while being easier on your eyes and using less battery power.
